I provide psychotherapy in English to children, adolescents and adults, individual, couples, and families.
I also conduct psychological evaluations for children, adolescents and adults to assess for learning disorders (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia), attention deficits, autistic spectrum disorders, social-emotional, behavior, and family problems.
My training and orientation includes several schools of thinking. I employ an insight-oriented approach, and am well versed in and guided by psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapy, family systems therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and Rogerian/humanistic approaches. I'm also quite oriented to existential psychotherapy.
Whatever one's approach, psychotherapy's effectiveness is repeatedly seen to be predicated on the 'click' between patient and therapist. One needs to feel trust and confidence in your therapist. This would be something to attend to early on in the therapy.
I also do supervision for other therapists and therapists in training.
